In 2021/22 we shall be launching 'Weekend Warriors. The idea is to provide families with the correct equipment to carry out litter picking in our local community. The children have shown great respect to their school environment that we wanted to enable them to do the same outside our school gates.
It’s competition time!
Over the summer holidays we would like you to design a logo for our new ‘Weekend Warrior’ litter picking bags. The bags include:
1x child litter picker and gloves
1x adult litter picker and gloves
1x sack hoop
We are offering 8 lucky children the chance to have their designs printed onto the bags of equipment to brand them. Families can then book these bags to take home over the weekend or school holidays to help combat the litter in our local area. Litter picking is very popular at school and we wanted to encourage children to help look after our local community areas too with the appropriate equipment. All we ask is that families tell us where they have worked, how much rubbish they collected and send us a photo of you in action (if you wish it to be displayed on the school website).
Designs need to be A4 and drawn on the entry sheet provided. Your designs can include anything that you think is appropriate for the litter picking bags. You could make up your own slogans/logos/informative posters etc. Just make sure that any writing is easily readable. The closing date for entries is Friday 10th September 2021. Please do not include your name on the front of the design sheet, but write your name and class in pencil on the rear.
The 8 lucky winners will be announced during the week of the 13th September. More information about how to book the ‘Weekend Warrior’ litter picking sets will be release in the next academic year.
