So it's investigation time Year 2! Can you explore using different materials at home what is the best material for a house? It could be paper, a cardboard box, lego bricks, a tin can or rocks you found in the garden. Put them to good use and try to make a house.
Afterwards try to fill in the blanks: If houses were made of ______________, this could have prevented the Great Fire of London because ____________________________. I think ______________________ is the best material to build houses because ______________.
Then have a look at what actually happened.
