Welcome to week 2 of Term 4 Remote Learning!
3 more days and we will be back in school- Yippeeee!
Today you are going to be using your research to create your first page for your information book on the Ancient Egyptian daily life. We hope you enjoyed the Awful Egyptians and managed to get some facts from that. It has been interesting to see how you are preparing for World Book Day, either through the costumes you are preparing or the books you are thinking of reading, having been inspired by some of the videos on Tapestry or on the website. Today there is a live lesson to watch at 10.30am, which we hope you will enjoy.
Keep uploading your work on Tapestry. We love to see it!!

Creating an information page.
How will you do this? Think back to the pages you created about your own planets and the Mayan work we did. Think about how the pages were set out on Health and Beauty and Farming. Remember the key features:
A title - could it be a question?
Subheadings, which will explain what the paragraph or paragraphs will be about.
Technical/ historical vocabulary.
Relative clauses
Subordination clauses.
Fronted adverbials
Pictures with captions.
Check your punctuation.
Choose one of the topics you have made notes on to create an information page for a book!
Upload your work onto Tapestry.

2. 45 - 3.20pm- PSHE
Special People
Read the sheet about special people and fill in the scenario sheet. You may want to discuss them with a friend or family member.
Philosophical Question to finish the day!
Yesterday's Q: If you could be teleported into any book setting (Hogwarts, Narnia) what would it be and why would you like to go there?
Miss Martin: I think in line with my comments from yesterday, I would definitely like to go to Hogwarts!
Miss Chapman: Ahhh after much deliberation... Farthing Wood! I loved reading the book when I was younger and even to this day. The animals in the wood and the setting the author describes just sounds tranquil (putting the plot of the story to one side!)
Mrs Hudson: Ohhhh I loved playing hide and seek when I was younger, so would have loved to have got into a wardrobe where you went through into another land, just like the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I can imagine going out in to the crisp, crunchy snow and meeting fantastic characters, such as Aslan or Mr. Tumnus. Oh and all that turkish delight- yummy!
Today's Q: Who is the most villainous villain you can think of (Cruella De'Vil, Voldermort, Snow Queen) and how would you defeat them?
Have a great evening and join us tomorrow for some more exciting learning :)
