This week is Children’s Mental Health Week. Make sure you take some time out for yourself to relax, reflect and ‘Express Yourself’ by sharing feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through things like art, writing, music, dance and baking. We hope that by doing things that make you feel good, you can improve your mental health, especially when facing tough situations or difficult times.

Experiment with your words and remember, they should have 5 lines. Make sure you have the right number of syllables in each line too. Clap to count the syllables in each word (like we do in Word of the Day). If you’re still not sure, use the syllable counter https://www.wordcalc.com/

Art
We know much more about the history of listening to music now and believe it or not, records are still used to record music. It’s really important the record sleeve (the cover) is exciting, interesting and visually striking because it makes people want to buy it. You are going to be looking at some very famous designs and creating a mood board to help you design your own jazz album cover next week. Here are a couple of examples: Read Art Lesson Plan 1 – Mood Board to find out more.
Story Time
Listen to 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory'. Today you will be listening to Chapter 16 and 17.
