Who's ready and raring to go with another day of home learning? yes 

 

Today we will be designing our fabulous clay thumb pinch pots! I can't wait to see what creative ideas you come up with. They clay will be outside of school for you to today and tomorrow so on your break why not come and collect it in preparation for tomorrow's Art lesson.

  • Watch the video ‘Block Diagrams’.
  • Answer questions 1-3.
  • Have a go at the extra questions 4-8
  • Extension: Can you try the problem solving and reasoning questions?

Phonics/SPaG

9:45 – 10

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

10 - 10:40

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

Class Zoom

10:40 – 11:10

  • Today we’ll be having our Guided Reading lesson on Zoom. Come and join us for a lesson but also for a catch up and to ask any question you have.

SPaG

11:10 – 11:25

  • Watch the video on adverbs.
  • Answer the questions using an adverb from the word bank.
  • Circle the adverbs in the sentences.

English

11:25 - 12

  • Use your work from yesterday to remind you of each of your steps on how to catch a star.
  • Draw a picture to match each step of your instructions. Use one of the premade writing formats or draw the pictures on the left-hand side of your book.
  • Practise saying your instructions out loud using your time words and imperative verbs.
  • Extension: Watch the video explaining what an adverb is and see if you could add an adverb explain how to do your action.

  • Read ‘Grandad’s Secret Giant’ or listen to Miss Williams read it.
  • Read the different similes that describe the secret giant.
  • Create your own similes to describe the giant.
