Today as our starter we are practising a skill we have previously worked on, ordering decimals. Follow the link below, then click on options which can be found underneath the picture. Select one of the decimal ordering activities. Decimal tenths is the easiest and as the name suggests tricky decimals are the trickiest. You can also select how long you wish to work on a challenge. How about trying to see how many you can complete in one minute and then try again for one minute, can you beat your own score.

Then for the main part of our Maths lesson we are going to start a new block of learning which focuses on money. It starts off with a review of prior learning and then moves on. Summer, Term, Week 2, Lesson 3 (Pounds and Pence)

Next week, we would like to give some money word problems as starters each day and we would like YOU to write the problems. They all need to be about money (add, subtract, change, one step or two step) An example would be ' I bought three pens for 38p and gave the shopkeeper £5, how much change did I get?' Send a problem for everyone to answer to Mrs Lee (via the office).
1030 - 1100 - Break

Giving reasons: cause and effect part 2 - look at the document below for further instructions!
1130 - 1215 - English
Listen to Chapter 3 – Whiter than White again but focusing on Miss Root.
Task 1: As you listen to the story, think about:
Write your answers in note form/bullet points. This will help you when writing your paragraph tomorrow. I chose to do mine in notes on a mind map. Look below at my example! I haven’t included everything!
Next, use the notes you have made to draw Miss Root - how detailed can you make it?
Why not describe Miss Root to someone else in your family or down the phone and challenge them to draw her? Compare your drawings! If your description was spot on, they should look similar if not the same! Some of you have been 'zooming' or video calling one another - this could be something you share!
1215 - 1315 - Lunch
1315 - Enquiry
Someone has made an exciting archaeological discovery at the bottom of their garden or in the local park. It is a skull … a skull belonging to a mysterious, unidentified animal. Imagine the shape of the skull. Was it a carnivore, herbivore or omnivore? How can we tell from the type of teeth your mystery animal has? Use what you have learnt in your previous lesson to help you. You will be writing about this animal in a newspaper article tomorrow.
