Can you think of synonyms and antonyms? 

What word class does it belong to: adjectives, verbs, nouns or adverbs? 

How many syllables does the word have? 

Can you include it in a sentence? Remember capital letters and punctuation.

Read the text all about pirates! The text has been spilt into different subheadings to make it easier to find information. Answer the questions on the sheet. It might be helpful to underline key words in the questions to remind you of what to look for.

Read the Ella’s Story powerpoint. This is her story so far. We are going to concentrate on the key events that took place after the funeral (slides 4-6). These will be the events we write about in our letter. The Ella – Planning Powerpoint has question prompts to help you plan each section. It might help to discuss your ideas with someone else. You can plan directly into your book (using subheadings for each section) or use the Planning Frame.  At this stage, we just want notes i.e. words or phrases.

Music 

Get your clapping hands ready! This week you will be developing your body percussion by clicking, patting, stomping, clapping and much more! There are two music lessons on body percussion for you to take part in this week. You will learn to keep in beat of the music when learning new songs and rhymes through body percussion. Get a plastic cup ready and challenge yourself with the Mambo Cup Challenge! After the videos, use the ‘Music - Body Percussion Sheet’ to draw or stick different movements for your own music.
