Hello again - Happy Wednesday!

It's the halfway point in the week and we are so proud of you all for the way you've embraced Remote Learning.  It's putting a smile on our faces to see what you're getting up to on Twitter, so don't forget to share your learning with us.

You should be beginning to spot a bit of a pattern with the learning now.  Just as when you're in school, we think it is important to try to keep to a routine where possible.

Here's today's learning.

8.50am Word of the Day DRIZZLE

Find out what it means, its word class and try to use it appropriately today in writing or speaking.

9am Joe Wicks PE workout (YouTube)

We know of a couple of teachers who had to have a bit of a sit down after Joe's workout yesterday ...

There are some great ideas in the PE section under 'Additional Resources' if you want to try something a bit different today.

9.30am Independent reading

What are you really enjoying right now?  Mrs Pullin has made a start on The Girl Who Speaks Bear this week.  Is it as good as The House With Chicken Legs?

10am Comprehension

Re-read the DNA text and complete the 'Label' activity.

10.15am Maths

Long and short division today.  Once again, there's the MyMaths version and a couple of attachments below.  If you're completing the MyMaths in your books because you prefer to set things out differently and then scoring 0, don't worry.  Use a calculator to check your answers if you need to.

11am Take a Break

11.20am Spelling

Which of these words are you finding really tricky?  Choose four or five and write them out in large letters and pin them up around the house in places where you'll see them.  The back of the toilet door is often a favourite place for these!

11.30am Writing

How are your stories coming along?  Before you go any further, you need to read back through what you wrote yesterday and consider the grammar, punctuation and spelling you have used.  Look for ways to make improvements.  What doesn't sound quite right?  what doesn't look quite right?  The Editing Stations attachment may help.

Once you're happy with what you wrote yesterday, continue with the story.  Remember,  you don't need to always start over again; rewrite the bits you aren't happy with and keep what's working well.

Really pleased with how people have thrown themselves into this learning.  Continue with the Forest School and chosen country activities in ways that suit you best.
