Here is your suggested timetable for the day

Maths

  • Watch the video ‘Sort 2D shapes’ on the Year 2 page.
  • Complete questions 1-5
  • Watch the video ‘Making patterns with 2D shapes’ on the Year 2 page.
  • Complete the questions 6-10.

Phonics/SPaG

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

  • Today we’ll be working on creating a story map for story of the Great Fire of London.
  • Come and join us for a lesson but also for a catch up and to ask any question you have.

English

  • Watch the videos about the Great Fire of London and remind yourself of the events/facts of the story.
  • Join your class zoom to help create a story map of the Great Fire of London.
  • Create your own story map of the events using the facts.
  • Challenge: Add extra facts about parts of the story using the given websites and fact files provided.
  • Retell the story to people in your house using your story map to help.

SPaG

Today there are 2 SPaG activities.
Everyone needs to have a go at Activity 1.

  • Practise the spellings following the instructions in the table.
  • Fill in the missing words in the sentences using the spelling you have practised.

Activity 2 is optional but if you have received a text telling you to complete Activity 2 please do.

  • Watch the video of Miss Williams explaining the prefix –un.
  • Complete the sentences by adding in the –un word.
  • Pick 3 words with the suffix –un and put each of them into a sentence.

Lunch

  • Enjoy some lunch and get outside for fresh air.

Reading

  • Read along with or listen to Miss Williams read ‘Fire Cat’.
  • Discuss your answers to the questions in the video.

PE

  • Watch the video showing skills needed to play cricket.
  • Remind yourself of what good catching hands look like.
  • Have a go at the 4 catching challenges, making them easier or more challenging depending on your ability.
