Hello Year 5! And here it is, your LAST day of remote learning!
Wow! Can you believe it Year 5? You have completed the end of Term 4, and the whole of Terms 5 and 6 in remote learning form! You have done so well! We have been so impressed with the learning behaviours you have shown in your home learning AND the outcomes you have achieved with some of your work. We loved having our phone calls with you over the weeks and getting to see your fabulous faces again over zoom! It's been a joy to learn with you. You should be very proud of yourselves, Year 5, we definitely are!
Word of the Day: Tranquility

You may or may not be going on holiday the year, but what would be your dream holiday or staycation?

Come up with your own philosophical questions during the summer holidays! Write them down and bring them into school next year. We would LOVE to see them!
Yesterday's Q: Name a positive, a negative and an interesting fact about lockdown.
Mrs. Hudson: A positive was cycling when there was no traffic on the road. It was so peaceful. A negative has been not chatting face to face with many people and hugging. An interesting fact is that COVID-19 stands for CO= Corona, VI= virus, D=disease and 19, was 2019 when the first outbreak occurred.
Miss Martin: I think a positive of this whole experience is the highlighted importance of kindness and community. So many people have stepped up in wonderful ways, in order to help others around them who may be vulnerable, shielding, a key worker etc. We need to help one another in times of adversity. A negative would be not being able to see our loved ones for such a long time... We know it's for the best of the community and our families, but it doesn't making the feeling of 'missing' someone any easier. An interesting fact... apparently Zoom went from having 10 million members in December, to a whopping 300 million in April! Well, we are all Zoom masters now!
Have a truly wonderful and well-deserved rest this summer, Year 5! It has been a pleasure to learn with you! We look forward to seeing your faces around school in September!
