Can you think of synonyms and antonyms? 

What word class does it belong to: adjectives, verbs, nouns or adverbs? 

How many syllables does the word have? 

Can you include it in a sentence? Remember capital letters and punctuation. 

Reading

Lucy the Leprechaun 

Read this short story all about Lucy the leprechaun! Answer the questions that are on the sheet. It might be helpful to underline key words in the questions to remind you of what to look for. Can you spot any speech? Can you remember the song we learnt last term? Have a sing of the song and see if you can write your own speech using the correct punctuation. 

Maths

11 and 12 Times Table 

Have a practice of your 11 and 12 times tables. There is a practice sheet to help you familiarise yourself with the 11 and 12 times tables.

Work through the SPaG Activity 3 questions. You will punctuate direct speech, sort words into their correct word class and use apostrophes to make contractions. If you have log-in details for Lexia and Spellzone, spend 5 or 10 minutes working through them. 

Writing 

In our explanation text, we are going to be BALANCED. This means providing the advantages and disadvantages of each way of listening. Work through the Lesson 3 - Subordinate conjunctions powerpoint. You will learn about subordinate clauses and subordinate conjunctions and will practise completing some examples before writing your own.
