Hello, Year 2!

 

I hope you're having a great week. We're at the halfway mark for week 2 today and you're doing amazing! Mrs Atkins and I are feeling very proud of how well you are all doing.

Here is your suggested timetable for the day

Maths

9-9:45

  • Watch the video ‘2 times-table video’ on today’s page.
  • You can also watch the 2 times-table song video if you want.
  • Complete the 2 times-table questions using the pictures.
  • Complete the missing number in the number sentences.
  • Extension: Practise your 2 times-table questions by having a go at the game ‘Hit the Button’.
  • Have a go at the problem solving and reasoning questions.

Remember to explain/prove how you got to your answer.

Phonics/SPaG

9:45 – 10

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

10 - 10:40

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

  • Come and join us for a catch up, online lesson or to ask any questions you might have.

English

11:10 - 12

  • Look through the Verb PowerPoint to remind yourself what a verb is.
  • Watch the videos on today’s page showing the birds, material, waves and leaves moving.
  • Now for each thing mind-map or create a list of verbs which describe what each thing is doing. Be creative!
  • Once you have finished the list of verbs for the birds, material, waves and leaves use your verbs to write a descriptive sentence for each picture.
