Wednesday 10th February

Following on from Children's Mental Health Week, here's an A - Z list of ways to de-stress, refocus and remain calm.

Good Morning Year 3

We know you are all so tired, especially after all the fun in the snow.  There are only 3 days to go.  You can do it!

Please upload a video of your rhythmic gymnastics routine using a ball to Tapestry today.

9:00- 9.15 Word of the Day/Flashback 4

Please write the short date 10.02.21, WOD, definition and a sentence of your own.

Below WOD show your workings and the answers to Flashback 4.

We will check Flashback 4 during the live input session.

9.15-9.45 Guided Reading

Please read and answer the questions to The Ultimate Jungle Survival Guide

Remember, the answers are all in the text!  Scan to find them.

If you have time remaining in this 30-minute slot, please find a book at home to read.

9.50-10.35 Live input lesson.

English - Iron Man Lesson 26

11.05-12.05 Maths – Chinese New Year Maths activities. In this activity you will need to use your column subtraction and addition skills. There is no video to work through but we will describe the task in the zoom.

 12.05-12.10 Go Noodle break - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxVImJjH_BU

12.10-12.30 Spelling – Complete Mr Whoops Spelling using the spelling word mat

12:30-1:00 Lunch play

1:00-1.30 Lunch in classroom/your own kitchen.

1:35-2:35 PE – Gymnastics – Lesson 4 – Consolidation.  Performance Day!  Look at the Shape PowerPoint and the video Windhoek Rhythmic Club - Level 2  again for inspiration, as well as the differentiated body shape cards from lesson 3.  Work to develop and remember the rhythmic gymnastics routine you started last week.  It might help to write it down and have it to the side where you can see it during your routine.  Why no do your routine to your favourite music!  Once you have perfected your routine, video and upload to Tapestry.  This is the culmination of this term’s gymnastics learning so WOW us.

Equipment

*You will need a ball (approximately beachball size would be the best, but any ball will do – apart from a ping pong sized ball as that would be too small).

*For comfort and safety, please use a yoga mat, rug or soft (non-slippery) surface on which to perform gymnastic lessons.

2:40-3:15 French – Continue with the anagram activity that you started on Monday

3:15 Story Time – Listen to Mrs Lee reading Wild Robot

Dinnertime Philosophical Question:  Does a story need a start?

We hope you’ve had a great day and can’t wait to see you tomorrow! smiley
