Continue to read The Pirates Next Door where we meet the pirate family.  Look at the family, what are they like? Choose one of them to write a description of.

We are going to think about the differences between the pirates and families from Dull-on-Sea. Think of some similarities and differences and put them into columns. We are going to write a comparison description. Look at the model and try to create your own.

Look at the example of a newspaper report detailing the arrival of the Jolley Rogers. We’re going to write the red part today. Have a think, what are you going to put in yours. Let’s write it!

Second part of our newspaper report (green part). Using our writing from Mon and Wed can you write like a reporter about the family and how they’re different.

Inside PE - Pirate dance

Listen to the audio ‘On the rolling, rolling sea’ and try to follow the dance.

Have a go at playing at Captain’s Orders with the people in your house.

Unfortunately, the Jolley Roger’s ship is broken, and they need a new one. Your task over the whole of this term is to create a model ship to replace their ship

Today we are going to look at the parts of the ship, so we know how to design one. Have a research and use the key words at the bottom of the page to label the pirate ship accurately.

We’re going to design a flag for the Jolley Roger’s ship today.

Watch the video which shows lots of pirates on their ships but look carefully at their flags. There are all sorts of different symbols on them in different colours too.

Look at the table of what the symbols all mean and there are some examples to inspire you.

PE – Look through the action cards and make your own workout sequence.

PSHE - What makes a good friend? Watch the bitesize videos.

Read through good friend posters.

Create 5 rules for a happy friendship.
