- Rewatch some of the Year 2 Maths Problem videos to give some guidance on how to solve today’s maths problems.
- Have a go at as many of the 15 maths problems as you can.
- Use the Year 2 Maths Recap document if you need some help remembering how to do some of the processes.

Break
Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

SPaG - Unit 8 (p27) words ending in -le
- Dots and dashes – how man sounds do the words have?
- Have a go at the word changers removing the different suffixes. Careful some will need changing slightly.

Writing
- Watch our teaching video today to think about how the Jolley Rogers are slightly different to the families you might find in Dull-on-sea.
- Have a think of things that are the same about the Jolley Rogers and those families in town and then think about how they are different.
- Can you make a table in your book to bullet point your similarities and differences down?
- Look at the model in our teaching video today and how I turned ideas into a comparative paragraph.
- Now it’s your turn – remember you could use the comparison suffixes –er and –est and try to use your conjunctions to extend your sentces with more information.

- Discuss how you think they’re all going to escape this new land.

- Unfortunately, the Jolley Roger’s ship is broken, and they need a new one. Your task over the whole of this term is to create a model ship to replace their ship
- Today we are going to look at the parts of the ship, so we know how to design one. Have a research and use the key words at the bottom of the page to label the pirate ship accurately.
