Welcome to Week 5 of Remote learning!
Positive Mental Health Week!
This week we have lots of activities planned as we keep positive all the way through Lockdown 3.
Remember though if you do have any worries, to get them out of your head, by chatting to someone or writing them down. If that doesn't work trying doing something different, such as drawing, listening to music, dancing or kicking a ball.
What positive thought did you take from yesterday? It would be lovely to hear some of these positives on Zoom!
You are doing so amazingly well with your Home Learning and we are so proud of you.
Moreover, we're so impressed with the quality of work you are achieving - keep it up, Year 5 :-)
Keep uploading your work on Tapestry. We love to see it.
09:00 - 09:45: Class Daily Zoom Session!
It's been lovely to have so many of you join us for the calls so far. Make sure you have a paper and pen ready for the session, to make notes of key learning points and to be able to join in with the tasks :-).

How could you make your article look like a proper newspaper report?
Think about the reading comprehensions that you did last week. How were these newspaper articles laid out?
You are going to write up your full, draft article, improving it as you go, but make it looks like a proper newspaper. So, make:
Remember to check:

- Amazing descriptions of the crime scene!
We look forward to seeing this on Tapestry!
12:15 - 12:30 Class/Own Book.

Then, complete the sheet about mixtures involving Irreversible changes.
Philosophical Question to finish the day!
Yesterday's Q: What makes you unique?
Miss Martin: Well, being unique is that there isn't a single person out there who has the same genetic make-up as you! That's pretty incredible... You may have similarities with other people but there's there's only ONE you! That's incredible :-) Everything about you makes you unique... Likes, dislikes, hobbies... :-)
Miss Chapman: Being unique means one of a kind or unlike anything else. I'm sure many staff could say my eating habits in general make me unique. Apple segments dipped in marmite, not liking foods on a plate to touch, putting salt on everything, not liking food hot, disliking cake, eating cold spaghetti hoops (out of the tin - Ms Flaherty was mortified!)... need I say more?
Mrs. Hudson: Ummm! Miss Chapman and Miss Martin have hit the nail on the head! It's wonderful that we are all unique and different. I think my dodgy sense of humour- my husband has just agreed with that , but with a groan which was disappointing!
Today's Question: What makes you feel happy?
Spend some time during dinner or at some point in the evening, discussing this with the other people at home! We're sure there will be some interesting responses :-)
