Maths

  •  Complete the describing movement and turns worksheet in your Maths book. You may have to draw out some of the questions in your book before you answer them. 

  •  Have a god at drawing a treasure map in your maths book. Write some directions in your book to find the treasure.

10:30 – 10:45

Break

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG Unit 4 (p13) adding -er or -est

  • Short dots and dashes activity today. Use your magic fingers to find how many sounds in each word.
  • Complete the word changers doubling the last consonant before adding the suffix.

11:10 – 12:00

Writing

  •  Check the success criteria to see if you got everything yesterday
  • Plan what happened on Sunday 2nd September
  • Write a diary entry for Sunday from the perspective of Samuel Pepys

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

1:00 – 1:30

Reading

  • Reread the last paragraph from Chapter 3.

  • Make predictions about how climbing the Faraway Tree will go for Joe, Beth and Frannie.

Enquiry

  • Look at a couple of pages from our lovely Great Fire of London book and information on the video.
  • Think about how the fire service has changed from 1666 to today. Choose the mild/hot/spicy activity to show the differences. Choose carefully and remember to challenge yourself!
