Philosophical question: Is something always funny, because you laugh at it?

Maths 

  • Read the numbers and write what each digit represents.
  • Look at all the numbers and put them in order from smallest to biggest.
  • Draw an arrow on the number line to show where the number should go.

10:30 – 10:45

Break 

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air. 

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 9 (p30) words ending in -el 

  • Speed spell using words from unit 8.  
  • Look at all the -el words, read them.  
  • Complete the story using the correct words from the box. 

11:10 – 12:00

Writing 

  •  Watch today’s teaching video. We’re going to imagine what a pirate town would be like! 
  • We’ve got a video to give us inspiration of a pirate town called Tortuga from Pirates of the Caribbean. 
  • Your task will be to write a paragraph about what Dull-on-Sea would be like if Mrs Bevan is right and pirates take over the town. 

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch 

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading 

  • Read or listen to Chapter 17 ‘An Invitation from Moon-Face and Silky’.
  • Discuss what you would take from the land of ‘Take-What-You-Want’.  

1:30 – 3:00

Enquiry 

  • Today we are going to be designing our ship. Now that we know all of the different parts your task is to create your own ship with all the features. 
  • You can use your own pirate ship research or the picture from last week to give you a model to draw inspiration from.

End of the day 

Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
