Welcome to Week 5 of Remote learning!

laugh Positive Mental Health Week! yes

This week we have lots of activities planned as we keep positive all the way through Lockdown 3.

Remember though if you do have any worries, to get them out of your head, by chatting to someone or writing them down. How will you look after your wellbeing today?

What conversations did you have about peer pressure yesterday? Remember, you need to make the right choices for you, even if that means saying 'No!'.

You are doing so amazingly well with your Home Learning and we are so proud of you.

Moreover, we're so impressed with the quality of work you are achieving - keep it up, Year 5 :-)

Keep uploading your work on Tapestry. We love to see it.

09:00 - 09:45: Class Daily Zoom Session!

It's been lovely to have so many of you join us for the calls so far. Make sure you have a paper and pen ready for the session, to make notes of key learning points and to be able to join in with the tasks :-).

Work through the Thursday 4th February – Maths Activity.

It is really important to watch the White Rose videos on the link – this will help remind you of what to do with the formal written method.

We look forward to seeing this on Tapestry!

Philosophical Question to finish the day!

Yesterday's Q:  What would the world be like if we were all the same?

Miss Martin: If humans were all the same... well, I think we would just be like robots, surely?! All programmed the same way, all thinking the same, liking the same, feeling the same and looking the same?! The beauty of being human is that we're all individual. It would almost be taking away what makes us human?! That's my take on this question anyway...

Miss Chapman: I'm not sure I would like that world. I like being different to the person next door or to the person on the other side of the world!! If we were all the same, we wouldn't move forward in life. With the same knowledge, hobbies, appearances life would be stagnant surely?

Mrs. Hudson: Life would be very boring if we  were all the same. There would be no variety. How would we tell each other apart? I love the fact that we all look different, and although people may have different opinions to me, I try to respect them. If we were all the same we probably wouldn't feel half the emotions we feel either.

Today's Question:  How could people start their day in a positive way? What advice would you give them?

Spend some time during dinner or at some point in the evening, discussing this with the other people at home! We're sure there will be some interesting responses :-)
