We've nearly made it to the end of another fantastic week
of home learning, so well done everybody!

Here is your suggested timetable for the day

Maths

9-9:45

  • Complete the End of Block Assessment independently.
  • Watch the video of Miss Williams going through the questions if you need help with the reading.
  • Once you’ve finished, go back and check your answers.

Phonics/SPaG

9:45 – 10

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

10 - 10:40

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

10:40 – 11:10

  • Today we’ll be having our English lesson on Zoom. Come and join us for a lesson but also for a catch up and to ask any question you have.

SPaG

11:10 – 11:25

  • Watch the video on adverbs on the Year 2 page to remind yourself what an adverb is.
  • Complete the adverb word search.

English

11:25 - 12

  • Start to write your set of instructions making sure to use your carefully chosen time words and imperative verbs from the other day. Take a look at the model write to help you.
  • If you practised saying your instructions yesterday with adverbs see if you can include them in your writing today.
  • Challenge: Try to extend some of your sentences using conjunctions.

  • Enjoy some lunch and get outside for fresh air.

Reading

  1. – 1:30
  • Read ‘Grandad’s Secret Giant’ or listen to Miss Williams read it.
  • Imagine Tonbridge has a friendly secret giant and complete one of the activities:
  • Create a mind map to show all the different ways a giant could help you or Tonbridge.
  • Write some sentences to describe the different ways a secret giant could help you and Tonbridge.

PSHE

  • Watch the video on Children’s Mental Health Week – Express yourself.
  • Create a poster or video to share what makes you special and unique.
  • Check what other ways we can look after your mental health.
