Hello Year 5 or 'Muli bwanji' as they say in Malawi!
Well, today we will have our class Zoom calls at 4.30pm! Will we recognise you? New haircuts. No haircuts? Have you grown with all this lovely food, exercise and sunshine? Have your brains got bigger, with all the super work you have done?! We are super excited to see you.
So, you have gone down the steps into the tomb! Today, we are going to find out what is there and what happens next.
What did you think of Lord Carnarvon? Howard Carter and him are totally wrapped up in the Tutankhamun discovery, but
for different reasons. Listen to the audio book 'I Was There', to get a different perspective on the dig too.
Here are the details of the video, which shows actual film footage from the excavation, that they have made in to colour.

It is about an hour long, but a great way to spend time if it is raining today. Also, you could split it in to sections. Enjoy!
Today's book recommendation comes from: Ayla O'Brien
'The Secret Of the Night Train by Sylvia Bishop.
When Max is sent to Istanbul to stay with her boring Great Aunt-Elodie, little does she expect to be plunged into a thrilling night-time adventure across Europe. And when the mysterious Heartbreak Diamond goes missing, Max must find her feet in a whirling world of would-be diamond smugglers, thieves and undercover detectives.

Today's Question: Do you think robots will eventually take over the world? Why or why not?
Spend some time during dinner or at some point in the evening, discussing this with the other people at home! We're sure there will be some interesting responses.
We look forward to hearing about your responses!
Yesterday's Q: Are miracles possible?
Mrs. Hudson: It is a lovely thought that miracles do exist. I am not convinced, but I do think that surprising things happen that can be a force for good. It would be wonderful to think they do, but I suppose it is just another way in which life and the world is so amazing.
Miss Martin: I really, really hope miracles do exist! I'd like to think there's some alternative universal power out there which might have some magical way of letting things turn out... But then, I also know life doesn't always work out that way. Who knows!
We look forward to hearing your responses! Log in on Friday for more wonderful learning! Have a great evening.
