Welcome to another day of learning challenges!
Where possible, we hope that you are making the most of the glorious weather! Plan out what your daily exercise is going to be and what time; shuffle the timetable around slightly!

Challenges:
- Find out what it means and write the definition in your own words!
- What is its word class?
- Make a list of synonyms and antonyms
- Can you use it in an interesting sentence?
Are you able to use it, appropriately, when you are speaking or in any of your writing opportunities?
0900 - 0930 - Reading
How are you getting on with the book that you have chosen to read? We hope you are enjoying your reading. Why not write a book review, recommending a book to others to share when we get back to school? Book review sheet below if you wish to use one.
0930 - 1030 - Maths -
To get your brains moving we are going to play hit the button this morning. Practise a times table that you are not so confident with. How about the 6s, 7s or 8s?

This morning we are going to do some column addition. There is adding 3 digit numbers and there are some missing number questions which are a little bit more tricky. As always, pick whichever level you want from the documents below-mild challenges are easier. Here are a couple of videos to help you along the way. Good luck.

Today is all about using your describing words however please ensure you use interesting words! If you aren't sure you can always use a thesaurus to find a synonym. Make sure you check the definition of the synonym before you use it!
1115 - 1200 - English
It is time to cast your mind back to last term! Our topics main focus was music. We spent some time analysing different songs in particular the artist Ella Fitzgerald. During this topic we learnt so many new words, question is.. can you remember what they all mean?
Listen to the song on the attachment and create ideas ready for your writing challenge tomorrow!

- use the Norman Conquest Word Bank to help you complete the Norman Conquest Crossword
Spicy
- complete the Castles Word Search
- complete the Norman Conquest Crossword WITHOUT using the word bank for support
Hot
- complete the word search and crossword
- create your own crossword or word search and challenge an adult or sibling to complete it
When designing your puzzle, use a pencil just in case you want to correct/improve anything. Draft the puzzle
into your Maths book because the grid lines will prove very helpful for structuring your crossword or word search.
Other games you can play using the key vocabulary include Hangman and Anagrams.
