Read the text all about the story of Icarus! Answer the questions on the sheet. It might be helpful to underline key words in the questions to remind you of what to look for.

Inverted Commas
Today you are going to refresh your memory on writing speech and using inverted commas correctly. Work through the activities in the ‘English – Inverted Commas’ PowerPoint.
You will also be reading Chapter 2 of Demon Dentist in the PowerPoint and then writing a diary in the role of Alfie which includes using inverted commas for speech. The slides will guide through writing your diary.

Did you unscramble the letters? The answer is in the powerpoint. Work through it and watch the three short videos featuring inspirational people. If you can, talk to someone else about what you have watched, how it made you feel and why you think it’s inspirational. Cut out each of the pictures from Inspiration – Picture Prompts and answer these questions for each person (in FULL SENTENCES):
What did the inspirational person do?
Why did they do it?
How did their actions make you feel?
How could their actions inspire you?
