Morning everyone!
We hope that you enjoyed Earth Day yesterday – was it good to have a break from your computers? We hope that you managed to get out and get some fresh air – hopefully you remembered your sun cream, our pallid skins can burn easily!
Thank you for sending examples of your work through, we really enjoy seeing what you have been up to – the variety is amazing!
Today we have two great events to celebrate; it is St George's Day and Shakespeare's birthday!
We have fun activities planned for this afternoon to celebrate St George, but first...
8.50am Word of the Day bemused
Challenges:
- Find out what it means and write the definition in your own words!
- What is its word class? (Is it a noun, verb, adjective?)
- How many syllables does it have (clap each syllable to help you)?
- Can you find any synonyms or antonyms?
Are you able to use it, appropriately, when you are speaking or in any of your writing opportunities?
Finally, try to find the root of the word – its origin.
9am PE
Have any of you seen this on the One Show in the evening? It looks great fun, if you enjoy dancing. Maybe spend some time today perfecting the routine (or parts of it) ready for this evening's Big Night In on BBC1 and iPlayer.
