Philosophical question: Who decides what is normal?

9:30 – 10:30

Maths 

  • Watch the times tables videos (x2, x5, x10) and try to sing along.
  • Have a go at answering as many of the multiplication questions as you can in 1 minute. Then try to beat your score!  
  • Write the two multiplication sentences to match the array pictures.
  • Complete the multiplication table with the repeated addition, group picture, array, related calculation and answer.

10:30 – 10:45

Break 

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air. 

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 9 (p32) words ending in -el 

  • Can you have someone at home to read you the dictation sentences (p54-55). 
  • Let them test you on some of the words from this week. 

11:10 – 12:00

Writing 

  • So, the Jolley Rogers left and very kindly left treasure for all of the neighbours. 
  • How do you think the towns people feel about the pirates now? 
  • Can you fill in the speech bubbles for each of the neighbours saying more of how they felt about the pirates or their piece of treasure? 

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch 

Go outside for a bit of fresh air; run around in the sunshine!

Reading 

  • Read or listen to Chapter 18 ‘The Land of Take-What-You-Want’.
  • Discuss if you think anything will go wrong in the land of ‘Take-What-You-Want’.

1:30 – 2:30

PE  

  • Learn to stretch properly. Take a look at the stretches on the card and read how to stretch safely.
  • Create your own stretch sequence to warm up the main muscles in your body
  • Go for a run, cycle or scoot!

2:30 – 3:00

PSHE 

  • Think about a time when you have disagreed with someone and how you responded. What animal are you?
  • Read the example situation and what the different responses could be.
  • Read the four problems and try to find different solutions to them: one solution where nobody feels good, one solution when one person feels good and one solution where both people feel good.

End of the day 

Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
