Maths

  • Rewatch some of the Year 2 Maths Problem videos to give some guidance on how to solve today’s maths problems.
  • Have a go at as many of the 15 maths problems as you can.
  • Use the Year 2 Maths Recap document if you need some help remembering how to do some of the processes.

10:30 – 10:45

Break

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG

  • SPaG mat with a range of activities including homophones, sentence types and finding mistakes.

11:10 – 12:00

Writing

  • Today’s video helps us to write the last part of our newspaper.
  • Reread the example to remind ourselves of the green part and what needs to go in it.
  • The reporter (you) has gone and seen the pirates, what do they think of the Jolley Rogers?
  • Have a go at writing your own green part using Monday and Wednesday’s writing to help you out.

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch

Go outside for a bit of fresh air; run around in the sunshine!

1:00 – 1:30

Reading

  • Read or listen to Chapter 16 ‘What happened in the Rocking Land’.
  • Discuss what you think they meant when they said ‘What and adventure!’ and the end of the chapter.

1:30 – 2:30

PE

  • Look through the P.E action cards and make your own workout sequence.
  • Can someone else in your family follow your workout?

2:30 – 3:00

PSHE

  • What makes a good friend?
  • Watch the bitesize videos about friendship.
  • Read through the good friend posters.
  • Create five rules for a happy friendship.

3:00

End of the day

Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
