Howdy, Year 2! laugh

 

It was lovely to get to see all of Year 2 on zoom yesterday

but today we will be back to our two separate zooms.

Maths

  • Watch the video ‘Count Vertices on 2D shapes’.
  • Complete the questions 1-4.
  • Extension: Have a go at the challenge question.

Phonics/SPaG

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

  • Today we’ll be having our English lesson on Zoom. Come and join us for a lesson but also for a catch up and to ask any question you have.

SPaG

  • Practise the spellings following the instructions in the table.
  • Fill in the missing words in the sentences using the spelling you have practised.
  • Fine the spellings we’ve been practising in the word search.

English

  • Join the class zoom to see how to turn your plan from yesterday into your persuasive letter.
  • Start writing your persuasive letter. Write:
  • the addresses
  • the date
  • the greeting
  • introduction
  • reason 1 and 2

Lunch

  • Enjoy some lunch and get outside for fresh air.

Reading

  • Sign into your Bug Club account and pick a book to read.
  • Read your chosen book and complete the activities as you go along.

Enquiry

  • Remind yourself of your chosen focus this week, was it a landscape, still life or portrait?
  • Create your piece of artwork on this focus using a different form from the one you used on Tuesday.
  • Use the table to help you think of different art forms you could use.
