Maths

• Watch the Year 2 Maths Problem videos to give some guidance on how to solve today’s maths problems. 

• Have a go at as many of the 15 maths problems as you can. 

• Use the Year 2 Maths Recap document if you need some help remembering how to do some of the processes. 

10:30 – 10:45

Break

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 8 (p26) words ending in -le

• Speed spell using words from unit 7.
• Spell zone looking at all the words ending in le.

11:10 – 12:00

Writing

•  Watch Miss Wilson’s video where we read the next part of the story where we meet the Jolley Rogers.
• What are they like, can you look at each character and give a quick description of them?
• Choose one of the characters, I did Jim-lad and brainstorm adjectives to describe them.
• Using the adjectives, you thought of, can you write a descriptive paragraph about them?

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading

• Reread or listen again to Chapter 14 ‘The Funny Old Saucepan Man’, focusing on thinking about how the characters would be feeling at different parts of the chapter. 

• Create a mind map for, Moon-Face, Joe and Old Saucepan Man, showing their different feelings in the chapter. 

1:30 – 3:00

PE – Dance
