Philosophical discussion: What is the point of music?

9:30 – 10:30

Maths

  • Today we are going to start our maths investigations with some lollies. There is a bag of lollies but how many are there?
  • Use trial and improvement to think how many there could be – there could be different answers.
  • Look at the children’s ideas, can you build on what they have said and find answers to them?

10:30 – 10:45

Break

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Unit 12 (p40) adding the suffix -less

  • Speed spell with 6 words from unit 11.
  • Have a look at our spelling zone rule for this week.
  • Read the words and then write a sentence with two of them in it.

11:10 – 12:00

Writing

  • Diary Writing – pick a crew member from the Golden Earing to write as.
  • Listen to Chapter 3 again taking notes on key points.
  • Look through the ‘diary writing must’ slides to remind yourself on how to write a diary.
  • Start writing your diary entry from the events from Chapter 3. Remember to write from the perspective of your chosen character.
  • Check your writing with the success criteria.

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading

  • Read or listen to Chapter 24 ‘Mr Oom-Boom-Boom'.

1:30 – 3:00

PE – Gymnastics

  • Today we are going to be looking at rolling. Look through the pdf on rolling.
  • Watch how a sea horse moves, we are going to rock like a seahorse.
  • Watch the other videos to roll side ways and try a forward roll.

End of the day
