Challenges:  

- Find out what it means and write the definition in your own words!  
- What is its word class?  

- Make a list of synonyms and antonyms  

- Can you use it in an interesting sentence? 

Are you able to use it, appropriately, when you are speaking or in any of your writing opportunities?

Complete the next comprehension in your Violet pack. Remember to read carefully and when answering look back in the text!

Once you have completed your comprehension, take the time to do some quiet reading or shared reading with a parent or sibling.

In the last few days before Easter we are going to learn our Maths in a new way. Click on https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-4/. We would like you to listen to the video and complete the activity. Only complete one lesson per day, the first one is Divide 2 digits by 10.  We have done some of this learning in school already but we would like you to get used to the new way of learning before we start a new unit. Please remember, there is no need to print off the activity as you will be able to write your answers in your maths books. We will also place a few extra maths activities/challenges in the documents section below. Good luck and enjoy.

Pronouns within sentences! 

Often within our writing we repeated names when there is no need to for example:

Nancy told Barbara that Nancy went to the shops to get Barbara some toilet roll. Nancy wasn't able to get Barbara some toilet roll so Nancy told Barbara to use newspaper. 

It makes for quite a hard read, right?

It's time for you to create your very own Bayeux Tapestry. The real one is hopefully coming to Britain in 2022 from Bayeux, France. Stick it in your diary! You can concentrate on one or more of the key events.

Look at the powerpoint again to refresh your memory. What is the Bayeux Tapestry? What does it look like? What key events of the Norman Conquest are depicted? Refer to Friday's learning to support you. There are some instructions - you may choose to follow all, some or none of them. How you represent the tapestry is up to you. You can even create an interactive version by visiting the following website:  http://www.bayeuxtapestry.org.uk/interactive/BayeuxCreate.htm. There are other Norman activities you might enjoy at this website when you have completed your learning.
