Good Morning Year One 

Welcome back to home school! We hope you had a fun weekend and are all keeping well.  

 
Our suggestion for your day: 

0900-0930 - Reading 

Choose a book of your choice to read to yourself or to someone in your family - you could log on to Tapestry to listen to Miss Bailey or Miss Jeffery read a story! You could put on a puppet show to retell the story. 

0930-1000 - Maths Challenge 

Today you are going to be learning something new. You are going to be learning about capacity and volume. To help you with this learning, watch the video provided on White Rose, Lesson 4 - https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/year-1/ . We recommend starting at mild and seeing how far you can get. Don't forget to write the date at the top. 

1000-1030 – English Challenge 

Today we challenge you to write a set of instructions for making your lunch. You could choose to do this after you have eaten your lunch or write about your breakfast! There are word ideas to help you on the document below. 

1030 - 1130 Snack, relaxing time, choosing time 

1130 - 1200 - Phonics or Spelling 

Watch the RWI sound videos on Tapestry. Can you say the sound before Miss Bailey does? 

Revise “ew” and “aw” using the videos uploaded last week onto Tapestry. Then complete the activity on the document below. 

If you are feeling confident with “ew” and “aw” and fancy a Hot and Spicy challenge then try and complete the Astronaut Phonics challenge below!  

1200 - 1300 - Lunchtime 

1330 - 1400 PE 

Go outside for a walk, scoot or run (Making sure you show responsibility for our communities by staying away from other people) or try a Wild Workout with Andy!
