Monday 23rd March 2020

Happy Monday everybody!

Today, choose a challenge (or two) from the Home Learning Challenge grid below to complete - this should have been received in your paper pack on Friday.

Throughout the day, try to set some rules and boundaries with regards to learning at home - it should make the next few weeks at home together a little easier.  Think about where the Home Learning will take place - do you have an area somewhere in your home that can become a desk or work area?  Get together some pencils and paper, even put some nice drawings around, a comfy cushion.  Encourage your child to take charge of their learning space, make it a comfy, safe space for them to be.

At the bottom of the page is a 'Visual Timetable' for how our day will look tomorrow - you should have received a paper copy of this in your learning pack on Friday.  Talk this through with your child, make it visible to them, put it in their learning area so they know what to expect and they will show much more readiness to learn.

We know that every family will be different, and that is ok.  If your timetable is in a different order to what we suggest, make sure that your child is still aware of what their day will look like, cut up the paper copy and stick them in the order that you will follow - making sure you still discuss this with your child and make it visible to them.  A little bit of routine in a time like this is something that we all need.

Good luck, have fun, stay safe and we will see you back here tomorrow.
