Our questions to think about are all going to be linked to Mental Health Week, so have a think about this very important question today

Phonics

Watch the video on Tapestry of our speed sounds.

You will have a phonics activity on Tapestry for your phonics group. Watch the sound video and complete the activities for your new sound.

Your new phonics books are still on Tapestry so have a go at reading your book.

9:40- 10:20

Topic

 Today you will be learning about two different types of trees. Evergreen and deciduous. Watch the video and discuss the 2 types of trees. You can also watch the video of Miss Jeffery on tapestry explaining the trees.

Draw a picture of an evergreen and deciduous tree and go on a tree hunt.

You might want to listen to a story on tapestry whilst you have your snack.  

10:40 – 11:10

Live zoom session – Maths

Today we are going to carry on with counting backwards crossing the tens. On Friday, we used counters to help us subtract. Today, we will be using a number line. You will need a number line to help you today so you can cut out the example provided, draw one or use a ruler.

11:10 – 11: 40

Complete Maths challenge

If your child is struggling using a number line today, they can continue using the tens frame and counters.

Handwriting

Go onto Tapestry to watch our letter today.

PE / Exercise

Go outside for a walk, run or bike ride.
