08:45 - 09:00 - Spelling Challenge

To complete your Week 2 Spelling Challenge, ask an adult or a sibling to read out your Week 2 spelling words to you. Then spend this week practising your Week 3 Spellings. All spellings can be found in Learning Resources.

09:00 - 09:30 - Reading

Armed Forces Day

Read the text all about Armed Forces Day! The text has been spilt into different subheadings to make it easier to find information. Answer the questions on the sheet. It might be helpful to underline key words in the questions to remind you of what to look for.

09:30 - 09:50 - SPaG

Compound words

Compound words are made when two or more smaller words are combined to create a new word with a new meaning. You can make compound words using the Compound Words – Pictures or find compound words using the Compound Word Search. Both can be found in the Learning Resources section

09:50 - 10:30 - Zoom Call

10:30 - 10:45 - Break Time

Have a drink, exercise or get some fresh air if you can!

10:45 - 11:30 - Maths

Efficient Multiplication

Today you will be exploring different methods of multiplying and identifying which method is the most EFFECTIVE! This means that if you had to work out 32 x 6, you do not need to draw 32 circles 6 times and then count each circle. It might take you a while!

Take a look at this video that will talk you through effective multiplication in more detail and then have a go at the Maths Worksheet. https://vimeo.com/492101020

Finished? Would you like a challenge?

Have a go at working out the Day 1 Challenge. The document is in the learning resources.

11:30 - 12:30 - English

On pages 3 and 4 of our book, you will be using your inference and observation skills to answer this question: What has happened to Ella at this point of the story? Observations are what you can actually see. Inferences are what you think might be happening, based on clues in the text or picture. We will reveal all on Wednesday!

12:30 - 13:30 - Lunch Time
