Good morning Year 2, Happy Monday!

Philosophical question: What is a positive, a minus and an interesting point about a chocolate tea- pot?

Maths 

  • Complete the table using the clues. Fill in the number, words, expanded form and picture representation.
  • Add 1 and then 10 to the number. Think about which digit will be changing in the number.
  • Place a < or > between the two numbers to show which number is greater than or less than. Remember. The crocodile always eats the biggest number!

10:30 – 10:45

Break 

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air. 

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG - Special focus 4 (p29) 

  • Homophones, can you remember what they are? 
  • Choose the correct homophone to go in the sentences. 

11:10 – 12:00

Writing 

  • Watch today's teaching video to see the next pages in our story. The Jolley Rogers are causing trouble!
  • Make a mind map of all the 'piratey' things that the Jolley Rogers have done.
  • Look at the letter of complaint Mrs Bevan wrote to the Mayor.
  • Have a go at writing your own letter to persuade the Mayor to kick the Jolley Rogers out of Dull-on-Sea.

Lunch 

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading 

  • Read Chapter 16 ‘What happened in the Rocking Land’ again.
  • Answer the comprehension questions using the page number to help you find the answer.

PE – Dance 

Use the movement cards to try and create a sequence. Use the music to turn it into a dance routine.

End of the day 

Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
