Hello Year 5 or 'salam 'alaykum' as they say in Egypt.

Today is Ancient Egyptian Day! This will give you a chance to explore life in Ancient Egyptian times, by completing lots of fun activities. As always, we would love to see how you celebrated the day and some of the amazing work you completed (we want to add some of your work to the Year 5 Gallery and our own Museum of Artifacts!).

Have fun and enjoy as you go back in time to a land of pharaohs, hieroglyphics, mummies and tombs!

As always, we will follow the normal routine that we would cover in school!

2:45 - 3:00: Philosophical Question.

Today's Question: Is beauty the same for everyone?

We look forward to hearing about your responses!

Yesterday's Q: Why do we dream?

Spend some time during dinner or at some point in the evening, discussing this with the other people at home! We're sure there will be some interesting responses.

Mrs. Hudson: I do not have a definitive answer to this, but I do wonder if we dream to go through events that have happened in the day or if it is a way of coping with our hopes and fears.

Miss Martin: Apparently (can't remember where I heard this fact.. maybe it something I dreamt!), we only dream of things that our brain can imagine experiencing.. Remember how you always wake when you dream you're falling? And, apparently our dreams are actually only a few seconds long! I don't know why we do though... maybe it's like a 'screensaver', when we're not properly using our brain!

We look forward to hearing your responses! Log in on Monday for some more exciting learning.
