Today we are building on what you recapped yesterday...

English

Today we are going to use the brainstorms created yesterday to write a note (as Oliver) to leave behind just in case your parents return whilst you are exploring the remaining island!

What is the purpose of the note?

The purpose is to reassure the parents so that they don’t worry where you are! Currently, the brief note is in no-way reassuring – it doesn’t give enough detail. As Oliver, you need to explain to them where you have gone, when you went and will be back and most importantly why you went. Afterall, Oliver did say that he was staying at the house.

Writing your ‘note’

What do you need to write/include in the note?

Once you have written your note, make sure you proof-read it!

What is prayer? Why do some people pray? Where should you pray? Why do some people find it helpful? This term, we are going to try and answer some of these questions and learn  how people in different religions pray. We are also going to think about the similarities and differences between different kinds of prayer.

What do all these cartoon clips have in common? Discuss with someone else if you can. The answer is in the Lesson Plan. Were you right?
