Maths 

•  Hopefully you were confident telling the time to 15 minutes today. This MyMaths recap might be helpful if you found it a bit tricky. 
• Today we will be looking at telling the time to every 5 minutes. We're good at counting in 5s now so we should be super. 
• Write the times and then draw the time stated underneath. 
• Try to complete the time comparison questions. 
• Look at the jorunerys that the characters are going on. Can you work out how long it took them or when they would arrive at the hedgehog? 

10:30 – 10:45 

Break 

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air. 

10:45 – 11:10 

SPaG -  

• Range of grammar and punctuation activities including common exception words, conjunctions and noun phrases. 

11:10 – 12:00 

Writing 

• Write the words ‘SEA MONSTER’ in capital letters down the left-hand side of the page.
• Write your acrostic poem about a sea monster using your words from yesterday.
• Challenge: try to include some alliteration and similes in your poem.
• Look at the example acrostic poem.  

12:00 – 1:00 

Lunch 

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading 

• Reread or listen again to Chapter 23 ‘They get into trouble’.
• Think about what toy you would have chosen to be.
• Create a mind map of feelings you would feel if you had been turned into a toy.

1:30– 3:00 

Enquiry 

• Choose option 1 or option 2 to make the sails for your pirate ship.
• Option 1 – Stitch in a pirate symbol or do a running stick on your sails.
• Option 2 – Watch the video of Miss Williams making her sail, sew a pirate shaped piece of fabric onto your sail using a running stitch.
