Philosophical Question to finish the day!
Yesterday's Q: Can we have happiness without sadness?
Miss Martin: Unfortunately, I don't think we can have happiness without sadness... If there were no moments of sadness, you wouldn't be able to fully appreciate the happier moments and see them as something more positive and different.
Miss Chapman: Sadness and happiness complement one another, feeling sad enables you to move onto happiness. Without the feeling of being sad - what would you feel instead for example if you lost something or someone?
Mrs. Hudson: It would be nice to think you could, but I do agree that sadness makes you appreciate happiness more.
Today's Question: Is it more important to be liked or respected?
Spend some time during dinner or at some point in the evening, discussing this with the other people at home! We're sure there will be some interesting responses :-)
