1130 - 1215 - English

Listen to Chapter 4 – Blacker than Black

Oh poor Alfie, Miss Root was horrible! How would you feel if she had done that to you? I know I would be mortified!

I would like use to now step into Alfie’s shoes and imagine we just went through what he just did!

To start let’s think about feelings... create a mind map to describe what different emotions he may have gone through!

Next, I think it is important for us to map out exactly what happened to Alfie.

There are a few ways we can do this:

  1. Story map
  2. Comic strip
  3. Flash cards
  4. List of sentences

1215 - 1315 - Lunch

1315 - Religious Education

Our big question this term: Why are festivals important to religious communities?

Today, you are going to learn about one of the major Hindu festivals called Diwali. But first, can you think of any celebrations and festivals you take part in? What are they and why are they important to you? Everything you need is in the Lesson Plan.
