Before 0900- Wake Up and Get Dressed
Get ready for the day with independence; have a wash, dress yourself, eat breakfast and brush your teeth.
0900-0930 - Reading
Today we have some comprehension questions about the story to discuss and answer.

0930-1000- Writing Challenge
To warm up, start with some Handwriting - you could rewatch one of Mrs Cunningham's videos on Tapestry.
Can you write about your ladybird? Try and describe what it looks like. Think about the colour, how many spots it has, the number of legs, maybe what it likes to eat. Don’t forget to mention any special powers it has. Miss Marchant has made an example for you, ‘Smarties Ladybird’. Please share your designs on Tapestry with us. We would love to see your creations.
1000-1030- Home Learning Challenge (to continue after Break Time until 1130)

1030-1100 Break Time
Have one healthy snack: a banana, apple, orange etc. with a glass of milk or water. Take some time to relax, maybe you could listen to another story online.
1100 - 1130- Home Learning Challenge
Continue your Home Learning Challenge that you started – don’t forget to try and upload it to Tapestry so that we can see it!
1130 - 1200 – Maths Challenge
Warm up by counting to 20, forwards and backwards. You could also rewatch Ms Woolford's number writing videos on Tapestry to help with your number formation - use the search bar and type in 'Maths writing number ...' to find the video you want.
Today we want you to double in your play. Choose from the table below or create your own doubling ideas. Remember to double a number you need to have two amounts that are the same.

Build two towers with blocks. Use double the amount of blocks in the second tower. |
Play dominoes. Each time you come across a double workout the total number of spots on the domino to find the double. |
Threading beads onto a pipe cleaner or piece of string, double the amount of beads you have. |
Use the matching pairs cards. Have them all turned over on the table. Take it in turns to pick two. When you get a matching pair, work out the double. |
Following on from our capacity learning, can you find a container that holds double the amount of water to the first? |

Finger paint a butterfly or ladybird, giving them the same number of spots on each side to work out double a given number. |
Have a set of number cards turned over. Pick a card and then go and find some objects to show double this number. You could even have a race to see who can do this first. |
Chose a number to double and count out this many objects. Then use a mirror to see the doubled amount. |
Play a game using two dice. Each time a player rolls a double they get a point. But to get the point they must count up all the dots and say the number sentence. |
Using the matching pairs cards, get an adult to hide one half of the pairs around the house. Then select a card at a time and go to find the matching pair. When found, work out the double! |
1200 - 1300 - Lunchtime
1300- 1330 - Phonics
Open Tapestry and watch the video ‘Set 1 Speed Sounds.’ Say the sounds along with Miss Bailey; can you remember them all and say them before she does? You should watch and say your Speed Sounds every single day.
For Phonics today, revisit the two sounds that we have learnt this week - can you remember them both?
After you have recapped your new sounds, we would like you to choose a story from the Oxford Owl website to read. Follow the link below and create a free login to read a book independently.
Choose a book suitable for your child. Books go in order - 1) Sound Blending - 2) Red - 3) Green - 4) Purple - 5) Pink. Other books are read in Year 1. Children should be able to read all words in a book independently.
