 Maths 

• What is the same, what is different about the two squares?  
• These aren’t magic squares because the rows, columns and diagonals don’t add up to the same number.  
• Can you try to create a magic square where that does happen? 

10:30 – 10:45 

 Break 

 Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air. 

10:45 – 11:10 

 SPaG -  

• A range of punctuation and grammar activities including conjunctions, compound words and contractions! 

11:10 – 12:00 

 Writing 

• Draw yourself a treasure map, making sure to include lots of features.
• Use the details on your map to write a set of instructions to follow. They will be used by pirates to help them find your treasure so make sure they are nice and clear.
• Try to include some prepositions and direction vocabulary.

12:00 – 1:00 

 Lunch 

 Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game! 

1:00 – 1:30 

 Reading 

• Rear or listen to Chapter 33 ‘Safe Back Home Again – and Goodbye’.
• Discuss what you thought of the story, ‘The Enchanted Wood’.

1:30– 3:00 

 Memories

• Look back at our time in Year 2 and write three things which you think you have succeeded at this year.
• Look forward to Year 3 and write what three things you want to focus on next year.

 Enjoy spending some down time with your family.
