Happy Friday (and last day of term)!

 

A huge well done for making it through a whole term of home learning. You have all been amazing. You should be so proud of all your efforts and know that we are very proud of you laugh

Here is your suggested timetable for the day

Maths

  • Watch the video ‘Draw 2D shapes’.
  • Complete the questions 1-7.
  • Extension: Have a go at the challenge question.

Phonics/SPaG

  • Head to Tapestry to find your group’s assigned phonics/SPaG activity.

Break

  • Grab a healthy snack and get outside for some fresh air for a run around, a kick around or a bit of fresh air.

  • Today we’ll be having a fun last session on Zoom. Be prepared to share something you are proud of this week. Come and join us for a lesson but also for a catch up and to ask any question you have.
  • Before the zoom call today, choose 6 words from the list of  Year 1 and 2 Common exemption words ( Red words) and write them on separate pieces of paper for the game on zoom today.

SPaG

  • Practise the spellings following the instructions in the table.
  • Fill in the missing words in the sentences using the spelling you have practised.

English

  • Watch the video of how to finish your persuasive writing on Tapestry.
  • Check out the model persuasive letter.
  • Finish writing your persuasive letter. Write:

Lunch

  • Enjoy some lunch and get outside for fresh air.

Reading

  • Read or listen to ‘The Storm Whale in Winter’.
  • Create a puppet of yourself and an animal that you’d like to befriend.
  • Use the puppets to act out ways your animal friend could help you.

Enquiry

  • Remind yourself of your chosen focus this week, was it a landscape, still life or portrait?
  • Create your piece of artwork on this focus using a different form from the one you used on Tuesday and Thursday.
  • Use the table to help you think of different art forms you could use.
