9:30 – 10:30

Maths

  •  We’ve got some shape investigations today.
  • Use the idea of mats strips with 6, 5, 4 and 3 holes (cut them out if you want to) to make different triangles. Look at the triangles create by the children; can you recreate them and then create your own?
  • Can you place the different coloured squares in different places in the squares? How many different ways can you arrange the coloured squares?

10:30 – 10:45

Break

Get outside in the garden for a kick around, run around or a bit of fresh air.

10:45 – 11:10

SPaG -

  • A range of punctuation and grammar activities including finding mistakes, sentence types and word types.

11:10 – 12:00

Writing

  • Listen to Chapter 7 taking notes on key points.
  • Look through the ‘diary writing must’ slides to remind yourself on how to write a diary.
  • Finish writing your diary entry from the events from Chapter 7. Remember to write from the perspective of your chosen character.
  • Check your writing with the success criteria.

12:00 – 1:00

Lunch

Go outside for a bit of fresh air and play a game!

Reading

  • Read or listen to Chapter 28 ‘The Red Goblins get a shock’.

1:30– 3:00

RE

  • Remind yourself of the sacred texts we have looked at.
  • Create a front cover for a story from any of the sacred texts.
  • Use the example stories and the attached videos to remind you of some of the stories.
  • Write a blurb for the story.
