Go through the blending book, Fred talking each word, don’t forget to spot those special friend sounds (two letters that make one sound-they are underlined on the back of the page for reference).
Now can you remember the words if you go back through them? Can you Fred in your head so you're not saying the sounds out loud, just the word?
Now use the picture cards in the document below. Choose a couple each day to Fred talk the sounds that spell these words. For example, the picture of the cat the children would say c-a-t.
Challenge- Can you write the words to match the pictures? It would be good to do a few of these each day to practise writing the sounds as well.
